Proud father of four, Coach Patrick is a seasoned youth basketball coach with over 20 years of experience. He has dedicated his time to volunteering with various youth organizations, including Old Bridge Basketball, Provisions Promised Pantry, We Are the Future, All Kids One Field, and Meet the Needs.
Throughout his coaching career, Patrick has successfully developed hundreds of players, many of whom have gone on to excel at the high school and collegiate levels. He has also led teams to numerous championships in both Travel and AAU circuits. However, beyond the accolades, Patrick takes the greatest pride in witnessing his former players thrive in the sport while maintaining high academic standards.
Patrick’s philosophy on basketball is simple: Be a student of the game and always push beyond your limits!
Marie is a proud mother of four and a dedicated long-time volunteer. She has devoted countless hours to supporting youth sports organizations, with a particular focus on boys’ basketball and girls’ soccer. Marie brings a wealth of experience in program management, direction, and administration, spanning Travel teams, AAU circuits, camps, and clinics. Her passion for youth development and commitment to excellence have made her an invaluable contributor to the success of these programs.
Coach John Giraldo former Head Varsity Coach at Matawan HS. He is also a High School and Collegian standout for Marist HS and Monmouth University. He was also inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2015. Currently he is the youth basketball for 4th & 5th grade team. Coach John has also worked very closely with Coach Patrick running community programs such as camps and clinics with Old Bridge Basketball and Matawan High School. N1 Basketball is very proud to have Coach John as part of the N1 family!
Coach BJ attended Freehold Township High School and was a 2 year Varsity basketball player. He currently plays college basketball at Ocean County Community College. BJ has been coaching for 7 years working with various local area programs. He trains all levels and is currently training athletes at College Achieve High School. Coach BJ is focused and dedicated to the development of our youth boys program in Freehold. N1 Basketball is proud to have Coach BJ join the N1 family!
Jason Griffin is currently an assistant coach for College Achieve and former College Coach at John Jay College. He has also been a coach in youth basketball for 15+ years. From a HS coach at St Mary's, to numerous AAU programs in New Jersey. Coach Griff has also worked very closely with Coach Patrick running community programs such as camps and clinics in addition to programs with Hoop Group.
N1 is very proud to have Coach Griff as part of the N1 family!
Coach Jess attended Marlboro High School and was a 4 year Varsity basketball player there. She attends college at Holy Family University, a division 2 school and played basketball for 4 years there. She was a key player for the team as they won the conference championship in her school’s conference for the first time in 10 years! Coach Jess has been coaching for 2 years, going on her third year. She coaches around the Monmouth county area and works with athletes at all ages! She is excited to be a part of the N1 program and is dedicated to helping develop the youth girls program.
After playing 10 years of competitive basketball, Jason returns to the game as a Coach for the 5/6 Grade girls. He played youth ball in Old Bridge and High School for both St. Thomas Aquinas and Freehold Township. Fun Fact: Jason was on the Inaugural N1 Team back in 2021. He has recently been featured in our Boot Camps, Personal Training, and Summer programs. With his extensive knowledge of the game and passion for development, Coach Jason brings valuable experience and leadership to a promising 5/6 Girls squad.
Former youth travel, AAU, and Freehold Township Varsity player, making his mark as an assistant coaches. Brandon recently partnered with Coach Patrick, leading the 6/7 Girls program to victory in the Spring MSK Youth League Championship.
Focused and dedicated to the development of Freehold’s youth program, Brandon exemplify the spirit of N1 Basketball. The organization is proud to have former alums giving back as part of the N1 family!
The backbone of the organization, the N1 Angels, play a vital role in the community by managing communication, coordinating schedules, and organizing special events. With a long history of involvement in youth sports organizations, they bring experience, passion, and commitment to their work. N1 Basketball is incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated crew, wholeheartedly committed to supporting the program and empowering our youth!
